The 2010 QRA Great 8 regulations and entry forms can now be downloaded.
Work starts on the track tomorrow (29th July) and all the peripheral parts of the event are taking shape for what should be a cracking Quad Festival of Quad riding fun.
Saturday 28th August will house the four hour Youth event. Plus Mountain Bike race, Side By Side ATV Race, Beautiful Quad Contest, presentation of teams and other fun and games.
Sunday 29th August is the UK’s most challenging Quad endurance event, THE GREAT 8 8 hour Quad event. Followed by the Quad Party of the year.
Monday 30th is chill out day. We do have a few things planned including the Great 8 Clay Shoot and other activities will be announced as soon.

Welcome to the 2010 QRA Great 8
There is some news still to be announced, which at the time of publishing this, we frustratingly still cannot announce what it is until contracts have been finalised. But we could not keep you waiting for the info below any longer.
Please note that the Youth Great 8 (or Mini 
will be a four hour event.
For 12 – 16 year olds on production based machines. Classes and team make up will be in the regulations but can be two riders with one machine (Iron Quad) or two riders two machines.
The regulations for this and the Great 8 adult event will be online shortly.
This event is for all abilities and Quads. The focus of the event, besides the racing is for Quad family and friends to have a good weekend of fun and Quading……………..
Venue; Hannington, Near Basingstoke, Hampshire. Just off of the A339 Newbury to Basingstoke Rd
These times are as an outline guide and will be confirmed by 1st August.
Friday 27th
14.00 Paddock Open.
NO ACCESS PRIOR TO THIS TIME. There is also NO holding area or alternative.
PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE AT THE GREAT 8 UNTIL AFTER 14.00hrs ON THE FRIDAY 28th.
From 19.00 Youth signing on. Adult signing on can take place giving priority to Youth riders.

08.00 Documentation/Technical Control/Noise testing for Youth competitors.
09.00 Great 8 Youth Beautiful Quad competition on the grid.
10.00 Great 8 Youth Grid Formation.
10.30 Le Mans start for the Great 8 Youth Event.
14.30 Finish of Great 8 Youth Event.
From 13.00 Great 8 Adult Signing on, Technical Control, Noise Testing etc
15.30 Side By Side UTV event.
16.30 Mountain/Push Bike races. Youth. Ladies & Adult classes.
18.00 Great 8 Trials Challenge in the Arena
18.30 Great 8 Youth Presentation
19.00 Great 8 Team Presentation and Beautiful Quad Contest.
20.00 Great 8 Beat the Starter challenge.
21.00 Great 8 Beat the Bull Challenge.

Chill out or take part in the Great 8 Clay Shoot Competition – 25 Clays per person.

QUAD DAY SATURDAY 31ST JULY 2010

Quad Racing Ireland will be running a motocross/practice day at the popular Tinker Hill track on Saturday 31st July 2010. There will be no charge at the gate and entries must be in to Nicola by the evening of the 28th July 2010. Entries are the usual £25 and we don't intend to level the track after this Saturday's Irish (unless needed) so it should be tough/rough/good practice for everyone involved. All adult riders are welcome to enter weather on a 125/250/450/650/750!! solo, quad etc etc. Entries forwarded to Nicola with full money included and any cheques should be made payable to Quad Racing Ireland. We ran a similar type day earlier this year where we let the riders out on the track for 30 to 40 minutes at a time and it was very well recived, so we hope to have a good response again.
